Abril is an Associate at Robertson Stephens, where she supports Pam Friedman in offering clients personalized and comprehensive financial services and investment strategies.

Before Robertson Stephens, Abril served as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Center for Financial Responsibility at Texas Tech University. She also served as the Director of Financial Services at BBVA in the Northwest Area of Mexico, where she led a team across 19 offices and established strategies for multiple financial business units. Her tenure at BBVA and Santander Bank in various roles, including as a Senior Financial Specialist and SME Center Director, has equipped her with extensive experience in commercial banking, retail financing, and team leadership.

Abril holds an MS in Personal Financial Planning from the same institution, complemented by an MBA and a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from ITESM in Mexico. Abril, her husband John, and their son Tommy live in Lubbock, Texas, where they enjoy good food, traveling, and sports.
