November 1, 2023 – Chief Economist and Managing Director, Jeanette Garretty appeared on BloombergDaybreak: Australia to discuss her outlook for the US economy as investors await the November Fed Rate decision. “I think that what they’re going to do is they’re going to come out and say, ‘we continue to watch the data and they will allude in some way, shape or form to the sharp increase in longer term treasury yields that has occurred recently that has the effect of tightening monetary conditions,’” says Garretty. “And so they will, they’ve done that kind of consistently and keep all their options open.
